Now that Preview 7 has been released you no longer need to run dotnet workload install maui. maui-check takes care of installing the workloads for you.

2022 preview just did an update and I can no longer load a project. You know how to recover from this? The project file cannot be opened. The SDK resolver "Microsoft.DotNet.MSBuildSdkResolver" failed to run. Same happens to me, but not with MAUI, but with VS 2022 itself. I can no longer open solutions with it.
