Alternatives to CleanX

Perhaps you stumbled upon cleanX looking for an appropriate data cleaning tool. While we think we are the only tool specific to cleaning radiology datasets, there are many data cleaning tools that can process and clean tabular data. Here is a list of some of the most popular:

OpenRefine (open source, free) Trifecta Wrangler (commercial, proprietary) TIBCO Clarity (commercial, proprietary) Winpure Clean & Match (commercial, proprietary)

Any of these packages can do some basic tasks on tabular data like finding duplicates, however, only OpenRefine is open source and free (as is cleanX). OpenRefine is software, as opposed to interactive code like cleanX. Some people prefer using software, some prefer interacting with code, and the specifics of a project may dictate one or the other.
