Would it be possible to show the captured data when user presses stop?

Yes. Current version support this feature.

I can reproduce your results if I press stop while the transfer is in progress, but not when in the acquisition phase.
It is easier to see if you set to 16M samples @ 1 MHz. Press start and wait 8 seconds. Press stop. There is no data transferred. I expect to see 8 seconds worth of data.
