My name is Sam and I'm a sixth year PhD Candidate at Vanderbilt University in the department of Physics and Astronomy. I'm currently helping to develop a module to solve the general relativistic hydrodynamics equations using discontinuous Galerkin methods for thornado, whose primary goal is simulating core-collapse supernovae. This includes adapting the capabilities of AMReX to work with DG methods. See my personal website here, and check out my socials:
Hey there! I'm an astrophysics post-doc at Caltech working on binary neutron star mergers.
