That is weird. Deleting/renaming the settings file reliably corrects any
problems. I haven't dug into the code and I certainly don't know the
spotify API, but perhaps it's getting fixed because it forces
reauthentication with Spotify?

I'm in the process of upgrading Electron (the framework used to make the app run natively on multiple operating systems) from 11 to 17. I'm hopeful that it will address a lot of stability issues; hopefully this will be one of them. I have no ETA, but as soon as I finish it, we should definitely revisit this bug (and a lot of others!). It's very curious though that you lose control of the app from time to time. |
No worries, I have a workaround for now and I'll just wait.
