This is the course project for the Getting and Cleaning Data course on coursera, the project contains the following:
- The script for performing the analysis
- The code book for the project
- The final clean data set
The script performs the following:
- Downloads and unzips the data from the source URL
- Reads the data into R
- Creates subject and activity columns
- Merges the test and train data sets into one data set
- Extracts the required variables from this data set
- Adds subject and activity variables
- Labels the columns by their appropriate names
- Creates a data set which contains the mean value for each variable factored by the subject and activity variables
- Stores the final data set into the file final.txt
