After using PHP 8 it is starting to be a problem.
On the frontend THEME is the path to the actual theme folder, f.e. if you work with images or subdirectories. In the admin area, it is the path to bootstrap3 theme.
If you use e_user.php addon and you need path to the actual theme THEME or THEME_ABS fail and then you will get a fatal error in UE fields in the admin. The same for theme preferences...
example:
while ($filename = readdir($directory))
there are constants for the path to the theme directory
e_THEME
e_THEME_ABS
USERTHEME
is not defined.core sitetheme preference is not enough if you allow the user to select frontend theme.
I could each time test the site theme vs the user theme and get the actual frontend theme but it looks like... like to say it... noneffective?
What could be the correct scenario?
I just don't know how to get the path to the frontend theme in admin area
always define USERTHEME - if it is not used, it would be value of sitetheme core pref
add new constant for path to frontend theme
split THEME and THEME_ABS to ADMINTHEME and ADMINTHEME_ABS and use them for admin theme
something else
Thanks
