Using the new 7/8 log format Search Terms field I have noticed something rather interesting.
If you go to google and type "cats" it will show cats in Search Terms. However in Youtube typing "cats" will show "c" in Search Terms, then "ca" on next line in Search Terms, then "cat" on next line, then "cats" on next line and "cats on two more lines!
Is this a bug or is Youtube refreshing the page after each letter?

Youtube javascript is doing completion suggestions, so one request per letter.
To fix find what the 'complete' url is for Youtube and then add it to lists/common/searchexceptionregexplist. This will stop these 'part searches' being detected and logged as searches.
Google has already an entry in this sample file so that is why the behavour is different.
Thank you. I will make the necessary changes and see if this works. Would it not make sense to implement this into the default config as you obviously managed to get this to work for all users for Google.
