I'd like to see some of the cobwebs removed from the JAXB mailing lists and have
the readership better streamlined into fewer forums to increase their utility:

1. On this page: https://jaxb2-sources.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectMailingListList

--> The dev@jaxb2-sources.dev.java.net mailing list has never been used in five
years, it can probably be deleted or hidden. There is already a dev list here:
https://jaxb.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectMailingListList

--> With the exception of a single 2008 email, the
issues@jaxb2-sources.dev.java.net list has not been used in over four years, it
can also be deleted or hidden. The issue list
https://jaxb.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectMailingListList is the one presently
in use, and the one that people who go to the main JAXB page are always routed to.

2. On Nabble, I think the "jaxb dev" list[1] (which points to the dev list
here: https://jaxb.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectMailingListList) should be
removed from Nabble because people are erroneously using it as a "users" list
(Nabble list searches take them to that list), splitting up the readership
between [1] and [2]. Nabble already has the real JAXB users list[2] and JAXB
users frequently go to [3] as well.

[2] http://old.nabble.com/java.net---JAXB-f13496.html

Instead I think the dev list should just remain quietly on
https://jaxb.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectMailingListList. It's not heavily
used, and the few JAXB developers can either subscribe to it directly or view
its archives at that site.

Alternatively, if you wish to keep JAXB DEV on Nabble, to make JAXB DEV and JAXB
Users child forums under a greater JAXB category (like Metro is subdivided on
Nabble into Metro Users and Metro Devs child forums[4]), to make it clearer
which list is for JAXB internal development and which is for users.
