I am currently re-factoring the samples to use thorntail instead of wildfly-swarm, because wildfly-swarm is way to old with 2016 release.

I started with canonical and thorntail and hammock profiles are working already.
I have moved the dependencies for thorntail and hammock to their respective profiles, to avoid dependency collisions between packaging types.

You ca take a look here https://github.com/cchet/microprofile-samples/tree/feature/thorntail

Please, give me feedback, if you see anything which could be done in a better way.

Working profiles:

  • Canonical
    • thorntail
    • hammock
    • tomee-managed
  • Swagger
    • thorntail
    • hammock
    • tomee-managed

Config sample has to be added after this issue is resolved and merged to upstream, because of problems to get it running with existing old and required new dependencies in the poms.

I think this is obsolete because Thorntail runs out by end of 2020 and is replaced by quarkus. Does this repo still makes any sence because hasn't have any activity since 2018 and lots of other runtimes like quarkus, payara, wildfly and so on already provide examples for MPs.
