A plugin to create the starting wiki page for a project based on another wiki page
Copy another project’s wiki page when the Wiki module is enabled.
A copy of the plugin can be downloaded from Little Stream Software or from GitHub
-
Follow the Redmine plugin installation steps at: www.redmine.org/wiki/redmine/Plugins
-
Restart your Redmine web servers (e.g. mongrel, thin, mod_rails)
-
Configure the plugin: Admin > Plugins > Auto Wiki > Configure
When the wiki module is enabled on a Project the plugin will copy the wiki page from the configured project.
Example:
Configured project: Open Source Systems Configured wiki page: Contribute
-
Enable the Wiki module on a project ChiliProject.
-
The wiki page “Contributed” will be copied from “Open Source Systems” to “ChiliProject”
If the page already exists, it will not be copied
This also happens when a project is created with a Wiki module as well as if the Wiki module is disabled and then re-enabled on a project.
Optionally: The action that happens can also be changed:
-
Copy to project - copies the wiki page to the new project, using the existing title (default)
-
Make start page - copies the wiki page to the new project, as the Start Page
