Setup Host Using Staking GUI

The community member Pod created software to make staking easier & more convenient.

Requirements

A couple things before you can use the Staking GUI:

  1. Make sure your device meets the minimum requirements for a host
  2. Download, Install & Run Docker
  3. Download, Install & Run Pod's Staking GUI

Visual Guide

  1. (Web) Create a Host stake: https://wallet.xe.network/staking
  • Click create stake

  • Choose stake type: Host. Enter your password.

  • Click the button to create a stake.

  1. (GUI) Install the latest Edge CLI
2 install Edge CLI
  1. (GUI) Assign Device
  • Click "Create & Display Device Token"
3 install create   display device token - Copy
  • Copy the device code:
4 assign device 2 - Copy
  1. (Web) Assign Device
4 assign device - Copy
  • Paste the device code:
4 assign device 3 - Copy
  • Wait a few minutes.
4 assign device 4 - Copy
  1. (GUI) Start your node.
  • Click the button.
5 start node - Copy
  • The GUI will keep autochecking if your node is online and keep you updated via the status bar.
  1. (GUI) Setup complete!
6 success - Copy
  1. (Docker, Optional) If you are using Docker Desktop, you may need to enable autostart.
  • Click the gear icon.

  • Check "Start Docker Desktop when you log in"

  • Enable Autostart

  • Enable Minimized
