remove editor config format from file

in my editorconfig file there is a rule called trim_trailling_whitespace. I used this config a while, time changed now I want to remove. So remove the whole editor config file from my project.

I thought rule was gone but it's still there. Files there were created when the rule still available now inherit it. Only new files are not affected. How to remove the config format from old files?

If there are no .editorconfig files in your project then it's possible that your editor has a setting itself that trims trailing whitespace.
