Hello World!!! I'm Edoardo Viola and I'm a Mozilla Volunteer. From August 2016, I have been working on this little guide to introduce Open Projects and Open Source to students of all faculties in Italian universities. It's important to show them the potential of working in an open community and to demonstrate why doing so is important, not just for the individual but for humanity as a whole.

This project can also serve as a good starting place for those who are interested in learning how to work collaboratively, mixing our passions and skills to build an open project. Feel free to make any suggestions about the project's goals here; our method of working is meant to be inclusive to everyone.

What you need to contribute

• Be a student, teacher or researcher or PhD at a university, or hold a university degree
• Have a passion or desire to start to be part of a community that works on open projects

Every week we will make a call or a chat to discuss the project, what we have done and the next steps. We will use this Etherpad to track all discussions and to have a recap of all our calls.

Hello World!!! Sono Edoardo Viola e sono un volontario Mozilla. Da questo Agosto ho iniziato a pensare che fosse necessaria una piccola guida per introdurre il mondo del Open Source e della progettazione "Libera" agli studenti di tutte le facoltà delle Università. Secondo me, è importante far conoscere le potenzialità e perchè riteniamo importante lavorare in progetti liberi e con le loro community. Tutto questo non solo per il bene dell'umanità in genere ma anche per noi stessi.

Io penso che questo progetto possa essere anche un buon inizio per chi stia iniziando ad approcciarsi ai progetti aperti e per testare tutti assieme le potenzialità di lavorare tutti assieme, mixando le nostre passioni, abilità e pensieri in un progetto aperto. Qui tutti i pensieri circa i nostri obbiettivi sono accettati e il metodo di lavoro è sempre inclusivo verso chiunque.

Cosa è necessario per lavorare al progetto

• Essere uno studente, un insegnante, un ricercato o un PhD Universitario, oppure, esser un lavoratore con una Laurea Universitaria
• Avere la passione o voler iniziare ad essere un volontario in una community che lavora in Progetti aperti

Ogni settimana faremo una Call o una chat dove discuteremo del progetto, di cosa abbiamo fatto e di cosa dovremo fare per proseguire i nostri obbiettivi. Noi utilizzeremo questo Etherpad per tracciare tutte le informazioni e fare un riepilogo di quanto ci siamo detti durante le Call fatte in precedenza.
