I realize that this is not a good reason for opening an issue as it has nothing to do with your repo, but I'm desperate for help and magtek has been unresponsive.
I have tried running another app, as well as the iOS SDK sample app that's provided on magtek's website. For some reason the device is never "connected".
When I plug it into my iPhone 4s, it shows up in Settings > General > About, so I know that the phone is detecting it, but for some reason in the demo app and my custom app it is never detected as connected.
Is there any chance that you can confirm that you have been able to successfully connect the iDynamo to an iPhone 4s?
I really appreciate the help thank you.

I'm able to use the iDynamo(4/5) with everything from iPhone 3GS up to iPhone 5. The caveat is to be sure to add the "Supported External Accessory protocol" line item in the .plist, with value "com.magtek.idynamo". The iOS SDK sample actually should have it in (as it works for me) unless you inadvertently modified the .plist file. That little bit got me very frustrated at first.
You know what's funny, support just got back to me and told me I have to use a special bundle ID instead of the "com.magtek.idynamo". Sure enough, the iDynamo connects now. What's weird is many people are successfully able to use that DNS, not sure why I haven't been able to.
I just wish they'd include this special Bundle ID in their docs or sample code comments.
