Things that need to be nameable:

  • Vehicles
  • Fleets
  • Planets

This could probably be done by replacing the name label on the various reports with a text box. Though if we want to get fancy and implement private aliases then that could get complicated...

What about renaming Empires themselves? After all, in RL countries can rename themselves all the time.

Renaming an empire? Hmm, that might confuse other players. But it would certainly be doable... empires are not space objects though so they would need some sort of additional dialog, maybe it could go on the empire status screen or something...
