If I have multiple visualizations with the same name but different vis types, the default sorting behavior is somewhat inconsistent:

feb-14-2017 09-14-30

As you can see, the first time, the data table shows up first, but after saving the data table, it is sorted after the bar chart.

With some recent changes you can sort by name or by type. What would make most sense to me would be that when you sort by name, the visualizations are sorted secondarily by type; and when you sort by type, they are sorted secondarily by name (since these are the columns that show up on the screen), rather than secondarily by last modified date (or whatever it currently is).

The reason this gets annoying is when you're going through a lot of different visualizations and making changes, the sorting can be inconsistent, causing you to forget which visualization you had opened last.

Another minor thing (perhaps unrelated): The icons in the list used to be a fixed width so the titles would line up properly, but it seems like this was broken at some point.

@cjcenizal @alt74, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this.

@lukasolson I just merged the landing page for Visualize yesterday, which lets you sort on the name and type columns. Would you mind updating this issue description to reflect the new UI? It seems like it might partially address your requirements?

I can't replicate this bug on the most recent versions of kibana. I am closing it :)
