This needs to work whether using drill-down or any other method to move from one dashboard to the next. e.g. links to another dashboard via markdown visualization. |
This looks to be a duplicate of #101040 |

I changed the description of this issue to include the Links panel apart from the Drilldowns. I'm assuming this behaviour will not be possible when navigating to other dashboards using the Markdown editor, can you confirm @ThomThomson ? |
Yes that is true, we can't pass control selections on navigation using markdown links. |
@ThomThomson one question, could we also enforce the population of controls instead of the filter pill creation when the user filters by clicking in a chart? |
@teresaalvarezsoler that's a great idea, and something we've been thinking about, but I'd need to do some research to determine the LOE on that. We may already have a separate issue for it, but if not we should create one. |
Feature:
When navigating from one dashboard to another via Drilldowns or the Links panels, filters shouldn't be set as regular filter pills but instead preset the input controls as long as they exist in the destination dashboard.
Nice-to-have:
This can be made configurable via a flag in the Drilldown configuration and the Links panel creation. By default, this setting should be true, honoring the behavoiur described in this issue.
