Given the 1.7 will be end-of-life soon (see EOL policy), we should consider removing it also from our track repo after some grace period.

We will tackle this together with a corresponding change in Rally (targeted for 1.2.0): elastic/rally#713

This allows us to delete the branch 1 but to add a tag v1 which will effectively "freeze" the state of support for Elasticsearch 1.x. Rally 1.2.0 will still be able to benchmark Elasticsearch 1.x clusters while newer versions will drop support.

We have pushed a v1 tag which will allow Rally 1.2.x to still benchmark 1.x clusters. Newer versions don't support this anymore.
