  • Version: 22.4.1
  • Electron Version: 8.2.0
  • Electron Type (current, beta, nightly): current
  • Target: Linux

Support for Desktop Actions would be nice, which works like this :

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Type=Application
Name=Foo Viewer
Comment=The best viewer for Foo objects available!
TryExec=fooview
Exec=fooview %F
Icon=fooview
MimeType=image/x-foo;
Actions=Gallery;Create;

[Desktop Action Gallery]
Exec=fooview --gallery
Name=Browse Gallery

[Desktop Action Create]
Exec=fooview --create-new
Name=Create a new Foo!
Icon=fooview-new

Is this still relevant? If so, what is blocking it? Is there anything you can do to help move it forward?

I'm also interested in this. Are there any plans to add support for launcher actions in the linux desktop file?

Being able to specify a *.desktop file in the linux config would be awesome. Adding custom actions as a string via the desktop config key does work, but is pretty messy IMO
