I am in the same boat. I am the only user of this computer, but this is too much. AppCenter is completely borked. Launchpad Details: #LPC Callista Graves - 2016-09-29 19:24:49 +0000 |
I totally deleted my Linux partitions and started over with a fresh install after downloading another fresh Elementary OS Loki .iso. My AppCenter works fine now. There must have been some messed up packages or something. Launchpad Details: #LPC Sheri - 2016-09-30 09:18:33 +0000 |
I'm having the same problem. I can see no updates in the AppCenter. Getting an endless "Waiting in queue" too. I'm using Ubuntu Software instead. Launchpad Details: #LPC ramtinq - 2016-10-09 21:49:27 +0000 |
Since the bug's source has not been found, re-downloading & re-installing Loki might not be a suitable solution; it may happen again after another fresh installation. Launchpad Details: #LPC ramtinq - 2016-10-21 12:46:45 +0000 |
And again it is broken. Guess I might have to find another system until things get more stable. Same issues, apps will not install, shows updates are available, yet cannot install them, and it happens on a completely random basis. Again. Almost the same behavior on my system. Launchpad Details: #LPC Pavel Dolinin - 2017-01-27 08:58:56 +0000 |
Closing as a probable duplicate of #215 which is now resolved. |
Using Elementary OS 0.4 - Loki (stable version, downloaded 29 Sep 2016)
Ran "sudo apt update" and "sudo apt upgrade" commands and then rebooted several times in the past days, but the app center does not work. I'm installing everything with the terminal.
When I open AppCenter and Search and then select a program and then click the install icon nothing happens.
Example:
Also, does not show any updates (sometimes just a notification badge on its icon)
looking at network receiving/sending in GNOME's System Monitor, it seems that no request/reply is done through the network when pressing the install button and while "waiting in queue" state.
Fixed after fresh installation. AppCenter works fine now.
