This is problematic when someone claims to be running the latest version they downloaded from elv.sh and they report that ./elvish -buildinfo outputs Version: HEAD. We have no idea what version they are actually running.

While pondering issue elves/elvish#1216 I downloaded https://dl.elv.sh/darwin-amd64/elvish-HEAD.tar.gz and was surprised that
./elvish -buildinfo
reportedVersion: HEAD
