Color scheme is overriding json highlighting. I am using codecourse and it is overriding this themes json highlighting.

Same problem, with gruvbox colorscheme

Same problem, and the solution I found:

Overriding the syntax highlighting colour fixed it for me. e.g. hi! def link jsonKeyword Identifier
