This is a demo I put together for a two-player painting app with basic TiltBrush-like functionality. This app was made using the source code in this repository, however, due to time constraints, the source code has not yet been updated to include quest support and multiplayer.

Please note that the multiplayer only works on LAN (local area network) and won't work over the internet.

How to use:

  1. Download the apk attached below and sideload it to your quest (tutorial on how to sideload apps here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlflUCGOuHo)
  2. Launch virtual.studio.insilico from the unknown sources

Multiplayer setup:

  1. Make sure both quest headsets are connected to the same network (does not need an internet connection)
  2. Launch virtual.studio.insilico from the unknown sources on both headsets
Important note: when launching Virtual Studio on the second headset, make sure the first one is active, otherwise they might fail to discover each other (network messages won't send when app is paused)

Known issues:

  • Coming back into the app after exiting can cause problems with the connection
  • Erasing brush strokes on one headset doesn't always reflect correctly on the other headset
  • Light position & rotation not synced

Please report any bugs & feedback to emanuel@insilico.uk
