Spent some time scratching my head as to why there is another version of the emqx bridge repo:
https://github.com/emqx/emqx/tree/d93fdd8e9bbd78265360ce7f0e6ae2643f30edd5/apps/emqx_bridge_mqtt

Turns out this repo is deprecated in emqx version 5: https://www.emqx.io/docs/en/latest/changes/breaking-changes-5.1.0.html
