This issue is to request a package status badge from {lifecycle} be added to the Readme. This can be combined with #157.

After looking into {lifecycle} badges, I don't agree that they are useful at the package level, as they are primarily intended for the function level. They are also not used at the package-level in a number of Tidyverse packages. I will instead continue to use Repostatus badges for repos that I manage, as I think they are more suitable for this purpose.
