Overview
--------

ARAS is a free broadcast automation system. It provides the neccessary tools to
automate a broadcast station.

This package contains the ARAS Web Service, which allows the user to control the
ARAS configuration through a web application.

Availability
------------

The latest version of the ARAS Web Service is available at
https://sourceforge.net/projects/aras/.

Documentation
-------------

The HTML documentation and the manual pages for the ARAS Radio Automation
System are included in the regular ARAS package.

Installation
------------

1. Unpack the distribution tarball:

        $ tar xvzf aras-web-service-<version>.tar.gz
        $ cd aras-web-service-<version>

2. Change to the directory containing the unpacked source code:

        cd aras-web-service-<version>

3. Copy the ARAS Web Service files to the web server document root:

        $ sudo cp html/* /var/www/html/

4. Change the group of the ARAS configuration directory to www-data and give
   read/write permissions to the group:

        $ sudo chgrp www-data /etc/aras
        $ sudo chmod 775 /etc/aras

5. Change the groups of the ARAS configuration files that you want to be
   modified through the web application to www-data and give read/write
   permissions to the groups:

        $ sudo chgrp www-data /etc/aras/*
        $ sudo chmod 664 /etc/aras/*

Consider that may be neccessary to install previously the required dependencies
in your system:

        apache2
        libapache2-mod-php
