When I build a release I get:

===> Unable to read vars file (./acdefgilnorsv) for overlay due to: enoent

A known good commit: 37bd98a

Does that file exist? Do you have an example repo we could test against?

File certainly does not exist and unfortunately this is a private repository :(

I've reproduced on a MacOSX and a Linux machine --
