color-theme-initialize not defined? #10
Comments
Hmm, this is a bug in the version of color-theme available through the marmalade ELPA repository. I'll get in touch with the repository manager and see if we can get a fix pushed through (I'll update this thread when a fix is pushed). As an interim solution I'd recommend downloading a different version of color-theme from here http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/color-theme/ and installing it in your source directory. thanks for the report -- Eric |
Thanks Eric for the quick reply, and also incidentally, thanks very much for putting up the starter kit. On Nov 23, 2011, at 1:07 PM, Eric Schulte wrote:

Hi, See the commit from Dec. 12th "updating color theme information for Emacs24". I believe I have transitioned to the new Emacs24-specific theming support. If I have missed something or if there is more to be done please let me know (a patch would be ideal but specific suggestions would also be great). Thanks, |
Sorry, Eric. I meant to direct that previous message to @pchalasani, in case he missed the commit you're talking about. |
I followed the instructions on your blog, installed emacs24, and started emacs in daemon mode using
emacs --daemon
, got no errors, then didemacsclient -c
, which opens an emacs window with no errors. Then I doM_x color-theme-select
, and it complains sayingfunction definition is void: color-theme-initialize
.This is using the bare-bones out-of-the-box emacs24-starter-kit, with none of my personal stuff
