Have you installed eslint before running the above command? If not, you'll need to use npx eslint --init to initiate the configuration wizard.

did you install the dependencies ? i.e the last question about whether to install it or not, if not installed, can you try installing them

I think I have the dependencies and am getting the same error after reinstalling.

can you check once using npm list | grep "eslint" or npm list | find "eslint" for windows ?

This is expected for all locally installed packages.

Once you install ESLint, you can run it with npx eslint, or directly .\node_modules\.bin\eslint.

There is also eslint-cli which can be installed globally and provides eslint command that runs locally installed ESLint.
