In mail-address or subject all works fine but in mailtext espanso insert after a waittime the content of clipboard if the replace-string contain a special character like ä, ö, ü, ß, €.

To Reproduce

  1. Use package greetings-german with a german layout

Expected behavior
If I replace the character with hex-values like "Mit freundlichen Gr\xFC\xDFen" no change in behaviour.
Other programs I tested and thunderbird-subject and -mail-adress give the right text, only in mailtext returns the clipboard. If in the clipboard are this charcter (or the full same text too) the clipboard-text inserted without errors.

Setup information

  • OS: debian bockworm amd64, X11, thunderbird 102.1.2, german layout
  • Version: 2.1.7-beta

O.K. solved. Adding in
espanso/config/default.yml
backend: Inject
and all works fine.
