A social media system created in PHP and MySQL using the *AMP stack, built for a module in Database and Information Management Systems.
Users can:
- Register with the system and through their account create and maintain their personal profiles and manage settings (e.g. privacy).
- Search for known, registered users to friend, and search for friends of friends.
- Find other users to friend via a collaborative filtering recommendation method.
- Friend other users through an invite-and-accept method.
- Create circles for groups of friends and send messages to friend circles.
- Create and manage photo collections and assign access rights to friends, circles or to friends of friends. Friends can leave comments and other annotations on photos, browseable by other friends.
- Maintain a blog and read and search the blogs of friends.
