Have you tried light mode? Update Mist, remove all your chain data and run it with the lightmode option. I'll get to full sync with less than 5 hours.

It's mind blowing that we have this super new technology and bright minds working behind it who can't even provide a user friendly working wallet.
Why other cryptocurrencies have easy to install and configure wallets but super duper Ethereum doesn't?

Totally agree, have been trying for 2weeks to sync with no luck, have left computer on for over a day with nothing. I too am wondering if not a scam. wheres my ether f%*kers!

@Tnargav did you happen to leave the wallet open and eventually have it sync? some others have mentioned that solution but I've been running mine on and off for months and I still don't have it sync'd up yet...
