The intent of this feature is to allow anyone to send to our crawler their node so we can crawl. Makes p2p discovery easier and faster.. This will require:

  • an update on the UI to submit their node
  • require API changes to validate that information
  • crawler support to continuously crawl that info

Hi @mohamedmansour I noticed this issue tagged to #40 but still seems to be open.

I'd like to pick it up if it's still available 👍

Hi @MitiaRD,

Sorry to disappoint, but I've basically made all the issues here irrelevant with a complete rewrite of the project.

I haven't had time to clean everything up for a PR. I'm working from this fork/branch: https://github.com/angaz/node-crawler/tree/split_disc_crawler

Sounds great!

Be sure to setup and run a node. It will give you some insights into some of the terminology, and give you some ideas for features which might be useful for other node operators.
