MacOS does not allow users to create folders on the / (root) directory, because it is a read-only filesystem. So, the default docker-compose.yml configuration that uses the /srv will not work. I suggest updating the documentation to clarify this issue and to instruct users to edit the yaml file. Lastly, the users should know that the chosen directory must be shared with Docker, and this can be configured on Preferences -> Resources -> File Sharing on Docker Desktop GUI.
