ClipWatcher (Clipboard Watcher) synchronizes the clipboard content with files. By sharing this folder with other computers, it allows sharing a clipboard content among multiple machines.
The exchange is bidirectional. When you copy a text, the content is saved
as %ComputerName%.txt (e.g. C:\Users\euske\Clipboard\EUSKE-HP.txt
).
When a file is created or modified within the directory, the content is
automatically copied to the clipboard. The default directory is
%UserProfile%\Clipboard
.
Currently, only text (.txt) and bitmap (.bmp) formats are supported.
Just start clipwatcher.exe
and it starts watching a default directory
("Clipboard"). Optionally, you can specify the directory to watch
as the first command line argument. The directory path is specified
relative to your home diretory.
The program works as a system tray icon. When a clipboard is changed, it shows a popup. To see/edit the clipboard content, right click the icon and choose "Open" or double-click the icon. It starts a default web browser if the text starts with "http://" or "https://". To quit the program, right click the icon and choose "Exit" menu.
- Support PNG format.
