Extract the origin of a message

Hi there,

I am working on a project with xmpp and I already figured out this line is used to receive a message:
$input = $client->getConnection()->receive();
But I cant figure out how to find the sending adress.
ie:
if gamma91@domain.com sends a message I only receive the message and not his adress.
