@imorakzai can you better describe what is the issue? |
Yes when I run npx react-native run-ios in terminal then it start running but when it reach to some point it stop then it doesn't show me error |
Currently having the same issue, you must kill the server with I don't have a repro yet but i will add one if i set it up
|
@imorakzai, Can you confirm if the project this error is coming from is a mono repo project or not? I have the same problem with the same error messages, but my project is a mono repo project. I have a reproduction, but I want to ensure we have similar issues before I post it here. If not, I will start a new issue based on my problem. 🙌🏼 |
If you are still having this problem and your project is based on monorepo, then you can do the steps below to solve the problem
Diffs screenshots for reference |
+1 any new |
i dont know what is mono repo |
same problem :( |
Same issue with rn template app, xcode 15& iOS 17. |
I have the same problem when I don't have any open simulators, and have an iPhone connected so it tries to open the app in the connected iPhone (xcode 15). It does work if I already have an open simulator |
Same issue as above. |
Same issue as above Started after upgrade to xCode 15 and iOS 17 |
same issue as above. |
Is this happening on a blank project for other folks? As it's unclear if this is from a monorepo setup or not. |
Same issue here. Everything was working fine before update to xcode 15 abd ios17. Monorepo setup, have been working on project for ~7months |
+1 |
@cortinico it also happens for blank project as well, i tried Everything was working fine before update to XCode 15 and iOS17 |
same issue, new project initialized with |
This issue is happening to me as well after upgrading to Xcode 15 and iOS 17 |
I just resolved this issue by disabling ENABLE_USER_SCRIPT_SANDBOXING in the build settings in Xcode 15, it is present in Xcode 14 but disabled. |
@ScribbleTons didn't helped,
|
I've had this problem for three days now :( |
Thanks it's worked |
@fkazemi5236 I'm on Xcode 15.1 and just tried to:
(which is what the CLI would do) And it built successfully. What error are you facing? |
I had tried everything mentioned above but nothing worked. But had success with the below steps: What worked for me is to build the project by opening ios/.xcworkspace file in Xcode, resolve any issues that are returning by Xcode. Once the build is successful from Xcode, running the app from npm run start method no longer produces the same issue. |
I've met the same issue. After searching for several hours, I discovered that the terminal had become stuck. If I manually open the app on my iPad, the process will resume, and the debugger will be attached. |
@sarvardev I managed to solve the problem, this solution really work |
I'm pretty sure this error is actually lots of different errors which are being swallowed by In my case, the error was that I had a |
I agree with @joshuamiller above, this is caused by multiple errors and running the build in Xcode is the best way to see what is really happening. In my case I had to in Xcode Open target -> Build phases > Copy Bundle Resources and remove a bunch of duplicated font files from react-native-vector-icons. This https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50718018/xcode-10-error-multiple-commands-produce helped me resolve it. |
Fixed this by reinstalling pods |
Hello everyone, after run the code with
UPDATE |
I experience this every once in a while I'm still not sure why but I resolve this with reinstalling pods with "npx pod-install" from the root of RN project |
hey everybody, i've faced the same issue and i've fixed it by checking the |
same issue, i tried every way above and didn't work for me |
please, try to build from Xcode and provide a proper error message following this article, if needed: https://medium.com/gitconnected/how-to-properly-read-xcode-error-7b979692333d There is little we can do to help out without a proper error message |
As mentioned above, the best way to debug the issue is to open up the PROJECTNAME.xcworkspace file using xcode and try to run the project in a simulator. Not sure why but simply building didn't output all errors to xcode when the build failed. In the end, for me i had to comment out the one line in .xcode.env.local which is automatically created when you run pod-install. I also had an error in my AppDelegate.mm caused by me missing a couple lines when using the react-native upgrade helper. In any case, having proper error logging should make resolutions a lot easier. |
DAMN..... THANKS THANKS.... it was headache, i didnot sleeep cz of this fucking error, Thanks a lot. I literallly shudown system. created new project facing same problem again, then followed ur advice and now new one running great. |
hey guys, I already tried all your options and nothing works |
I can't fix it yet |
I had the same issue. I found more useful information when I cd into ios and then ran npm start or ran from xcode |
@deceser Open your app's |
URL did not open |
I fixed an error that occurred when running the Summary
|
you are a life saver!!!! |
Take a look at this. In reality, you can use npx react-native run-ios --verbose to check detailed error messages. In my case, it told me that I needed to install an additional library. After installing it, I updated with yarn upgrade & pod install, then ran yarn start --reset-cache, and everything worked perfectly. I believe the key here is identifying the problem, so npx react-native run-ios --verbose is crucial. You can give it a try. For more details, please refer to the following link 🔗: |
I recommend trying to do so in Xcode instead of VSCode. |
After hours of searching and trying all the solutions above, for me, It was Sentry that caused the issue. It seems mostly network or device issues, don't search for iOS errors. |
Tried so many things that i dont know what worked. my best advice is try to build for run in xcode and fix the errors shown. |
comenting flipper in pod file solved my issue |
having the same issue, tried most of the solutions here, not working xcode 15.3 simulator ios 17.4 will try clean project |
Hello, Community. I'm glad to share with you the solution that works for me. First clean xcode build, just in you terminal. Navigate to the ios directory, run xcodebuild clean it may throw this error: Could not delete
run your app PS: I tried the working formula after restarting my mac 😅 |
