This setting is an incremental path to the next Flow version enforcing type annotations on most functions (except some inline callbacks).

Used

node_modules/.bin/flow codemod annotate-functions-and-classes --write .

to add a majority of the types with some hand cleanup when for large inferred objects that should just be Fiber or weird constructs including any.

Suppressed the remaining issues.

Builds on #25918

Looks like the dev tools webpack parser needs to be updated still :(

Nice, thanks for continuing with the Flow upgrades! Local type inference is the future of Flow and has a number of benefits including reliably faster type checking (rechecks are more bounded) and more predictable inference (since it's more local). This exposes a lot of places that are under-specified but that's already the reality, this makes it more obvious and should help us refine types where it's valuable.

Ship it.
