In the project work, we were to find a site where to build a Wind Power Park.
Things that were considered:
- Distance to buildings (residential, commercial, industrial)
- Distance to roads and railroads
- Nearby airports
- Nature conservation areas
- Archeological sites
- Parks and recreational areas
- Wind conditions (energy production, wind direction)
- Elevation and slope of terrain
- Viewshed of the turbines
Things that were not considered:
- Land ownership
- Agricultural fields
- Military radars
- Offshore Wind Power
