Development

1. Initial Setup

---

Clone the project repo

$ git clone https://github.com/farooq-dev075/blog_app.git

Get into the project directory

$ cd blog_app

Install gems and their dependencies

$ bundle install

2. Setting up ENV variables

---

• Copy the environment variables example file

Use following command to do so

$ cp config/application.example.yml config/application.yml

• Set the following ENV Variables in application.yml file PG_USERNAME, PG_PASSWORD, PG_HOST

3. Database Setup

Setting up the Database

$ rails db:create db:migrate

4. Start Application Server

---

Start the Application server

$ rails s
