In our case, it seems we could achieve this by re-creating the git tag, not sure if that's a good idea. Therefore, close. |

fastlane already has
set_github_release
to create a release on GitHub, how about updating a release via Fastlane? We understand we could already use GitHub HTTP API directly, but it's better to use it via fastlane.Context
We create git tag and GitHub release in our release flow, like below.
Sometimes (but rarely...) we re-upload a binary to fix unexpected issues before releasing to production if we find some bugs with the internal track. In this case, we want to update git tag and GitHub release too.
Suggestion
Create a new action. I think it is safer to create a new action because the behaviour changes instead of adding an update feature to the existing set_github_release action.
The parameters for update_github_relase are below, referenced from current and set_github_release implementation and API spec: https://docs.github.com/en/rest/releases/releases?apiVersion=2022-11-28#update-a-release.
