RFE: team name suggestion? #75
Comments
This would need to be integrated with MeetBot, but perhaps we can work something out to keep names more standardized and easier to understand. If meetings are all available in Fedocal, we could try to pull names from there. If possible, though, it would be very helpful if meeting chairs were more informed about how to maintain consistent naming schemes for their meetings. |
Hey @cydrobolt, any more thoughts on this? we're looking at implementing some widgets in Fedora hubs that work with Meetbot and solving this would really help :) |
Hi @mairin I would be interested in helping out if we had a clear vision of how this feature would work. Did you mention Fedocal? How would we connect this to Hubs? |
From a Møte perspective, I think this is a duplicate of fedora-infra/mote#79. But I think this issue really belongs in fedora-infra/supybot-fedora. @cverna @nirik @puiterwijk @pypingou @relrod @smooge Since you all are GitHub Org Owners, could one of you please use the "Transfer issue" feature in the sidebar to move this issue from Mote to supybot-fedora please? |
Done 👍 |
WE run our own fork of meetbot that zodbot uses -- if this is a feature request that you still want -- please file it over there |
I don't know how this would work - would likely need some kind of integration with meetbot itself - but it would be nice if when you're starting your meeting, that you could ask meetbot for a list of suggested team names based on m0te's team listing. e.g. the command could be something like:
'Hi, here are meetings I know about you could use for #startmeeting: magazine, design-team, hubs, ...'
