I had a similar error to @achaphiv. Apparently it failed because there was a space in the path of the lxc.mount.entry config ("Ubuntu One") so this seems a bug with lxc (0.9.0-0ubuntu23) Cheers |
@gwillem tks for pointing out. I haven't tried but do u know if escaping the configs with quotes fixes the issue? |
Finally got it to work. Had to install lxc-templates & cgroup-lite. It was rather confusing because this worked perfectly on another box. On this box I vaguely recall turning "Consider recommended packages as dependencies" off because some unrelated package had a considerable amount of recommended dependencies. @achaphiv Oh, tks a lot, that's some interesting information :) I haven't had a chance to dig into this but now that you said that you were missing the lxc-templates package (which I personally haven't even noticed that it existed :P) I think I know what's going on and I've just created #139 to deal with that. For now I think it is better to close this issue while we don't have a reproducible scenario for us to dig into the problem. @dduvnjak if you are still having issues over there, feel free to gist us the output of running |
Oh, just to be clear, the stacktrace I originally posted occurs when lxc-templates is missing. Here's the stacktrace for a missing cgroup-lite:

I tried to start the Raring base box (vagrant-lxc-raring64-2013-07-12), but with no success. In short, target state 'running' is never reached.
