@AndreiD Thanks for submitting this proposal! Generally very supportive of this, but it would be great to get more concrete on what the meetup subject would be, when, etc. We would love to provide swag for you when you run a meetup, and maybe even to help support your team with financial support. Let us know when you have those concrete details!

We organized meetups & workshops. Also paid lessons in programming.
- our last meetup that we organized (Django Girls) has around $500 in budget. 40 people (well women) attended

Thanks for the link! Was the last meetup in 2017 or more recently?

we constantly organize meetups, but this was more exotic. 2017 November.

- We can handle 20-30 people easily
- Funding: we will try to get the venues for free (the one in Sofia is free as it's ours)
- Quality Pizza (not Dominos!) & quality beer will likely cost ~50-100 USD per event depending on how many people decide to participate
- We can also make t-shirts with filecoin logo. A quality t-shirt with a printed logo is around $10, we can also get super-quality t-shirts with $15. for 20 participants that's $200 in budget.

We can likely provide swag to your team -- no need to print it out yourselves!

I'm thinking about a workshop about how to mine filecoin. How much time do the swag need to reach to Europe ?

Greetings,

Thank you for your application to the Filecoin DevGrants program. We appreciate your proposal!

You have been selected for a Wave 1 DevGrant, congratulations! 🎉

We selected grants based on:

  • what makes sense to build now based on where the Filecoin node implementations are
  • the likelihood of your team being able to work independently of the Filecoin engineering teams working on the core client implementations
  • degree of refactoring your proposal may require as the clients evolve
  • the integrity of the proposal and near-term value to the Filecoin ecosystem
  • your commitment to the ecosystem and desire to maintain your project longer-term

Please reach out to the DevGrants team at devgrants@filecoin.org with a link to this PR, and we will follow up with next steps.

great news. is this devgrants@filecoin.org an email ? because when I try to email it I get:

as an auto response:

"We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (devgrants) may not exist, or you may not have permission to post messages to the group."
