Feature: Horizontal scroll with shift

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

It would be nice if you could scroll horizontally with the regular vertical scroll wheel while holding shift.
It's pretty standard across apps it seems.
Just checking now, VS Code and Chrome have this.

Requirements

• While holding shift and scrolling with a vertical scroll wheel, Files window should scroll horizontally in all instances where a horizontal bar would show

Thank you for your feedback, the requested feature is currently blocked by lack of support from the WinUI framework. There is a proposal on the WinUI repo microsoft/microsoft-ui-xaml#877 but as of now this isn't something that can be done. Please consider contributing to that thread by sharing how this issue impacts your experience with the Files app.

Assuming Microsoft adds support in the future, enabling it in Files should be straightforward.
