I am facing same issue that happpens for other stocks like eg. apple, microsoft, amazon etc.
If you search using ticker symbol though - respose returns it.

but this seems to be counter intuitive though

I was looking for an API that gives me the ticker symbol when I don't yet know what it is. The search API seemed to be the only option in my short time spent evaluating this service.
