Hi Glenn, can I get these changes from your smv fork? I can compile smv locally for a test version.

Glenn, run this case for a second. When I open it I see both input terrain and cfaces geometry superimposed. hitting q I either get input terrain or both on top of each other. I/m using latest fds and smv source.
You can tell also by the funky grading in the surface:
