Installation and Use
- PHP: >= 7.1
- WordPress: >= 4.6
- WooCommerce: >= 3.0.0
- Having an activated FlagShip Account (If not, you can sign up for one at: https://www.flagshipcompany.com/sign-up/)
- Having a FlagShip Shipping API access token. (click here to request an access token!)
- Have the WooCommerce plugin installed on your wordpress site
- Have shipping zones of WooCommerce set up and configured
- (without Composer) Head to https://github.com/flagshipcompany/flagship-for-woocommerce-bedrock/releases and download the latest release.
- (with Composer) Run the command to download the plugin into a folder: composer require flagshipcompany/flagship-for-woocommerce-bedrock
- (for without Composer only) Head to the the Plugins page, click "Add New", then in the page click "Upload Plugin". Upload the FlagShip plugin as a zip file. With it installed, click "Activate" below the FlagShip plugin in the Installed Plugins page.
- Go to the settings page of WooCommerce, click the Shipping tab, you will find a menu with "Shipping zones", "Shipping options", "shipping options", etc. FlagShip Shipping should be in the menu. The settings under FlagShip Shipping look like the image below. Remember to check the box "Enable", and fill in a valid FlagShip token. Finally save the changes.
- Then head to the shipping zones page, go inside each one of the applicable shipping zone (you might have to create some shipping zones). You will see a list of shipping methods. Make sure FlagShip shipping method is enabled like this:
- Click the 'Edit' link under FlagShip method. Then you will see settings of FlagShip shipping method specific to the selected shipping zone. Fill in the proper settings for the shipping zone, and save the changes.
- Once the FlagShip shipping method is properly configured in WooCommerce. Shipping rates can be shown to shoppers in the shopping cart like this:
- If a received order has a quoted FlagShip shipping rate, the rate will show up inside the order overview page, just below the items. Regardless with or without the shipping rate, you can always click the "Export to FlagShip" button on the right. Once an order has been exported to FlagShip, you will find a prequoted shipment (not dispatched yet) created under your FlagShip account.
- This plugin offers a convenient way to create, convert, and manage shipments without leaving the WordPress admin site. A menu with the FlagShip logo will show up in the menu bar on the left. Under the menu there is "New Shipment", "Manage Shipments", etc. You can enter your login information to log into the FlagShip site, and start shipping!
