It seems these files are uploaded so that links are available for them to be used on /doc/intro.md, README.md, and doc/intro_old.md

Assuming that they are listed in this issue for URL reasons, it may make more sense to create and move the images to a /doc/pics directory.

@joey-kilgore The reason I did it that way is so that the repo would not contain large non-text files. As a matter of discipline I try not to check any images or binary files into the source repo.
